Internship

Church planting interns spend approximately 6-8 weeks with a host church. During this time interns learn about the daily operation of church administration and weekly rhythms of pastoral roles and responsibilities to include sermon preparation and Sunday worship services. Special attention should be given to mentoring and discipling interns as well as overseeing interns in a discipling role when possible. Time should also be dedicated to learning and practicing evangelism within the cultural context of the host church. When more than one intern assignment overlaps with other interns within the network, a cohort will be assigned and coordinated through the network. When possible, a rotation of locations among the interns in a cohort may be coordinated by the network and host churches to expose the interns to various areas in New England. Considerable attention should be placed on initiating on ongoing discernment process (which may continue after completion of the internship) to discern whether God might be calling the intern(s) to New England.
